getting it done

The Idea

You have a wall. Perhaps it's in a hallway or an exterior wall
surrounding a garden, a room divider in child's room or a private
dining area. You want to add some sort of a "wow factor" to this
particular space, but hanging framed artwork just isn't going to do.
This is when the idea for a mural may come to you. Many of our
clients are parents, teachers, or business professionals, and they all
have one common thread; they wish to express their own creativity
by commissioning a mural to be painted on their walls. Many have
found us through word of mouth, or perhaps you may have looked
to the web for muralists, and now, you have found, Londonberry
Mural Press.

The Expression

"Let the beauty you love, be what you do" is our motto. A simple mural for encouraging imaginative play, an open horizon of dawn's early light or an awareness of educational subjects can be added to the smallest of walls. From calm, soothing and delicate, to legendary and larger than life, your mural becomes an expression of who you are.

The Collaboration

Here is how we can help you. When you contact us, we will return your call and meet with you within the following week. We begin by discussing the purpose of the mural, its setting, style, and your lighting situation. Before we meet, we suggest you have an idea folder. This can have some images from magazines, downloaded pictures or some of your own sketches. Think big. There has not been a mural idea put forth that we haven't been able to do.

The Sketch

The rough sketch has proved to be an effective tool in establishing a dialogue between artist and client and hence solving the issue of "not every one being on the same page". Most times we can get a "feel" for the scope of the work from this first meeting and make a job quote for the work that day. Considering the lighting and the protective finish will be a part of our conversation.

The Transformation

From your imagination to our transformation, we keep you up on
what you are seeing, each step of the way. We believe in
"collaborative" design so you are a partner in the art process. If, at
any time, you are uncertain about the direction the mural seems to
be going, we encourage you to ask questions. Within a few days of
our arrival, the mural starts to take shape and everyday some new
dimension is added. We do our best to estimate our working
schedule, so you can have an idea of the time frame. Care is given
to keep the workspace neat and all paints and supplies are stored on scaffolding to be rolled away each night.

The Londonberry Mural Press Product

We protect and seal the completed mural after you are satisfied. Using either oil-based or water based sealers, our murals are protected for as long as the wall stands. Only the industries best materials are used for the mural and it is guaranteed for 100 years without fading or cracking. Fine art acrylic paints are used on the last half of the mural and our base coats are from the Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams product lines. We mix our own colors with top of the line universal tints so you are sure your mural is one of a kind.

The Movie

In 2005, Londonberry Mural Press completed a mural
for Westminster Middle School of Atlanta, Ga. Here we
have compiled a few images put to music.
